Gina and Rich Martorana are behind a holiday extravaganza like no other: think more than 85 inflatables including an 18-foot Santa airplane, a 20 foot lit Frosty, a 15 foot Rudolph, a 20-foot Snoopy, a 16-foot Santa, not to mention countless lights. There's even a place to write letters to Santa (located at Gingerbread Corner) complete with a Christmas desk and Santa mailbox.
As they have for the past few years, the Wayne couple go all out -- and only ask that in return, you bring an unwrapped toy or gift for children, men, women and pets. It's not a requirement; just a suggestion. Donations can be left in front of the garage in the storage bin or by the front door.
New this year: More "lollipop lights" around the driveway, a 10-foot "Photo with Santa" inflatable, a 10-foot singing Frosty the Snowman, a huge 7-foot light-up Santa with candy canes, and an expanded Gingerbread Corner.
Mainly the Martoranas want folks to have fun and take in the spirit of the holiday -- in all its lit glory. Folks are encouraged to get out, walk around and take photos. And, of course, kids are encourage to write their heart's desire to old St. Nick.
Inflatables are on from 8 a.m. to midnight; lights are on from 4 p.m. to midnight.
The Martorana Christmas House is at 396 Fairfield Rd. and will be in its full glory until just after the new year.
